On Tuesday, the five-week progress reports were published to parents; these reports are issued four times a year. The progress report addresses areas such as student attendance, whether class work is up to date, application to learning, organisation, as well as an opportunity for teachers to request/welcome parent contact to discuss any areas of concern or development.
Families are encouraged to keep in regular contact with teachers if there are concerns and, with the introduction of continuous reporting, we have seen an increase in parent/teacher communication.
Teachers are constantly assessing our students, but traditionally schools wait until the end of a semester to give students and parents a full report on how they are going. The idea behind continuous reporting is that feedback is ongoing, relevant and meaningful.
There has been a lot happening on campus over the past few weeks. The Science wing will be undergoing renovations to enhance learning experiences as well as including new safety equipment.
We have also created a new undercover space for the Year 10 lockers and eagerly await their arrival at the end of term.
