Relay for Life

Students: Alex Mitchell, Abbi Harper, Briley Butler, Hannah Fyfe, Lauren Panettieri, Meg Cresp, Jahnvi Sharma and Tahnee Riky along with School Council representative Michelle Mollinaro, participated in Relay for life last weekend.  A very big thank you to Michelle Mollinaro, who supplied snacks for the team and a great sense of spirit for the team.  Relay Sponsorship and the Siver Coin Frenzy money, helped us reach our target of $2,000!  A great effort, considering we entered with a short time line.  The event was fun, with Zumba dancing, egg and spoon races and a great team spirit.  Students participated in a Guiness World Record, of the most number of people to apply sunscreen to each other, in the shape of the word HOPE.  A gruelling one and a half hours of sheer determination, hopefully enabled us all to be Guiness World Record Holders.  Students also sold plants on the day, adding $85 to the fundraising pool.  A very big thank you to parents Sam Harper, Jenny Butler and Alison Jackson who helped out during the event, helping to make sandwiches, offer team support or help pack up at the end.  A wonderful community spirit to raise much needed funds for cancer research.

Interact Bowling Session

Twenty-five Interactors  from St Helena, Montmorency and Greensborough Colleges had a 2 hour social Bowling night last Friday.

The event was arranged by the Rotaractors who heavily subsidised the evening with G’borough Rotary, supporting the Greensborough Interact students.

Rotaractors and Rotarians supervised the evening, allowing these students an opportunity to meet and socialise with other Interactors, from other schools in the area.

Finger food and shoe hire was included, behaviour was exemplary, and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to relax, socialise and have fun.

Thanks to the Rotaractors for this initiative and Rotarians -Linda from Diamond Creek, Ian from Montmorency, Brett for St Helena & Joy from Greensborough.

Rypen

Emily Beasely and Bentley Butler participated in the RYPEN leadership Camp, at Lake Nillahcootie this weekend (29-31 march).  This enabled students to participate in leadership skills, along with other students from other schools across Victoria.  Students were kindly sponsored by Greensborough Rotary, to attend.
