Junior School Assembly

On Tuesday, 19th March a Junior School Assembly was held to enable us to hand out certificates for students who had achieved 100% Attendance, for students who had received several acknowledgements for displaying courage (one of our school values) and to acknowledge the Year 9 student leaders for their leadership on the Year 7 Camp.  At the assembly we also discussed the need to be at school every day and that ‘It Is Not Okay To Be Away’ as this impacts hugely, not only on their academic ability but also on their social development and that this will be a focus for this year.

The World’s Greatest Shave Activities:

Well done to all of our Junior School Leaders who got involved in all of the activities that were organised for the World’s Greatest Shave to help support this cause.  Also a big mention to Rosemaree Sloan from 7C who was brave enough to have her long locks shaved off, that really took COURAGE.

Athletics Carnival:

Congratulations to Finlay Marchant of Year 7 for winning ‘overall male participant’ at the athletics on Tuesday and to all the Junior School Students for their participation and the exemplary behaviour on the day.  It was a wonderful day for everyone.

Have a great weekend
