VCAL News

Here is just a snapshot of recent good news from our VCAL program. Although COVID-19 has halted a lot of our lives and work opportunities there are some hidden gem stories with our VCAL students.

A huge thank you goes to Andrew and Sue-Anne in MIPs for making these opportunities and positive destinations possible.

Jake Drever: Completed a "super impressive" trial and was offered a full time Landscaping apprenticeship with Ballarat Groundworks to start immediately.

Tim Wrigley: Trialed and offered an Apprenticeship as a Mechanic with Bedggoods Auto Group. As you could imagine he is stoked!

Abby Ward (Year 11): Commenced a Tiling School Based apprenticeship last week.

Jorja Stenner (Year 12): Commenced a Tiling full time apprenticeship last week.

Trent Severino: Applying for Longerenong ‘Longy’ Agriculture College for 2021. Trent “Who thought I’d actually finish school then be applying to go back for another 3 years!”

Another Ballarat High School student has been signed up into a Head Start school-based apprenticeship.

Head Start Central Highlands currently has school-based apprenticeships and traineeships available.
