Family Engagement in Learning News

'St Anthony’s Primary school has drawn on Australian and International research which shows that children tend to do better in school, stay longer in school and enjoy school more, when schools, families and community groups work together to support learning.'

Community and Family Engagement in Learning

Welcome back to onsite learning for Term 4.  We have heard so many wonderful stories of parents, siblings and other family members working with students at home and sharing in their learning. Thank you for all the time, effort, patience and support that you have all put in during the time of Remote and Online Learning. We really couldn't have done it without you!

We are excited to continue to place great importance on family engagement in learning and strengthen the connections between school and home.

Term 4 will include:

  • updating the school website with new fun activities that families can share together at home.
  • weekly Family Fun challenges on Dojo.
  • the continuation of regular sharing of student work on Dojo by all classes.
  • regular parent communication with parents through Dojo and other varied sources
  • initiatives led by each level to engage families in student learning.
  • the inclusion of parents and families in end of year celebrations in some form, following current and up to date Covid regulations

During Term 4, now that we are back to onsite learning, I am looking to find fun ways that continue to engage parents and families in their child’s learning. I would love any suggestions about what you would like to see for family engagement in learning for Term 4. Please feel free to contact me via email with any suggestions. dportia@sanoblepark.catholic.edu.au
