Self-care is not selfish

Dear Families,

Those of you who have flown in a plane may be familiar with the safety briefing at the beginning of the flight.   One of the key messages during the briefing includes how and when to put on your oxygen mask.  It is always advised that an adult put on their mask before assisting children and others.

When we are in a state of stress it can feel hard to breathe. It can also be incredibly tiring and it can affect how we relate to others.  As we enter the final two weeks of Term 3 I encourage you to take 10 minutes for yourself.  In this time consider what actions you can take to look after yourself in the coming days and weeks.  What do you need to keep doing? Stop doing? Start doing?

The infographic below may assist you when reflecting with this.  You can also visit this site to find out more.
