Boomerang Bags is a grassroots, community driven movement tackling plastic pollution at its source.  Volunteers from all walks of life get together to make reusable ‘boomerang bags’ using recycled materials, as a means to provide a sustainable alternative to plastic bags.  The bags are given away to friends, family, colleagues, bag-less strangers and so on, as a plastic bag alternative that can be used and reused, or passed on to others in need.  (www.boomerangbags.org).

Moama Anglican Grammar Primary is joining forces, for the second year running, with Boomerang Bags Echuca Moama. The Parents and Friends group are aiming to up-cycle old pillow slips into Boomerang Bags.  These will be used in the schools uniform shop to help combat single use plastic bags.  It also demonstrates to our students that we can be part of the solution in not only reducing single use plastic bags, but converting waste into a new and useful product.  The amazing Spot On Dry Cleaners have donated the pillow slips and now it is your turn to get involved.

Students who Drive

Any Year 11 or 12 student wishing to drive to school must write to the Head of Secondary School, with the written support of their parents, requesting permission.

Permission will be granted subject to the following conditions:

- In Year 11, it is preferred that only students who are NSW country bus travellers apply, unless exceptional circumstances exist.  This is subject to approval by the Head of Secondary;

- A copy of the student’s provisional licence has been provided.

Also, the student and parents sign an agreement that the student will:

- Not transport any other persons without the written permission of the Head of Secondary and the relevant parents.

- Not leave the School grounds during school hours without permission of the Head of Secondary and parents;

- Park in the designated area for student cars;

- Demonstrate appropriate safe driving behaviour when driving to and from the School.

Code Camp is on again for Winter School Holidays

Earn & Learn is back!!

We are thrilled to announce that the Earn & Learn campaign is back for 2019 (1 May to 25 June).  MAG is participating in the program this year.  Please place your stickers or completed sticker sheet in the collection box at Woolworths Moama, Woolworths Echuca or at the Primary School office.

At the end of the promotion we will be able to order some fantastic school resources.  We appreciate your support!

Absentee reminder

If your child is unable to attend school on short notice, a reminder to please call/email the office with the details. Recently teachers have been receiving emails about absent students, however we ask that these details are communicated with the office staff who will then inform the teacher.
