From the Principal

A few notes from the recent AGM

Last week the Annual General Meeting of the School took place.  During this meeting the 2018 Board Chair, Treasurer and Principal delivered their annual reports to the community. As the number of nominations equalled the positions vacant on the Board, there was no need for an election at the meeting and Craig Smith, the Reverend George Hemmings, Scott Moller and Marcus D’Angri were all appointed to the Board.

After four years, Gaell Hildebrand has concluded her time on the Board. Gaell has contributed her expertise and experience in education to the Board. William Vanderpol also resigned as Treasurer, and from the Board, as his family is moving interstate. The Board, and the wider school, are indebted to both Gaell and William for their service.

Although continuing on the Board, Mr Craig Smith has stepped down as the Chair. Craig has served in this position for the last six years and has been instrumental in leading the school Board to support the ongoing growth and development of Moama Anglican Grammar.

After the Annual General Meeting the Board met and appointed the Reverend George Hemmings as the new Board Chair and Bronwyn Vine as Deputy Chair.  New Board member Marcus D’Angri has taken on the responsibility of Treasurer.

The Board plays a vital role in setting the strategic direction, values and objectives of the School, establishing and monitoring systems, processes and risks, and managing performance expectations and achievements against the School’s goals. You can find out more about the Board on the School’s website.

We are all looking forward to the ongoing positive role the School Board has in our development and growth.
