MARK ROBERTSON

Principal

As you are aware, construction of indented parking bays in Clapham Road between Willesden Road and Euston Road will be conducted during the School holiday period.

Congestion on this stretch of road is extreme during School drop off and pick up times. This project will assist to reduce the crowding of traffic and unsafe traffic conditions. We are also requesting that the bulk of this project be completed during the September School holiday period. Should the project extend into Term 4, traffic management will be in place to guide pedestrians and vehicles away from the work area during this project. We apologise for any inconvenience and appeal for your understanding, patience and corporation during the improvement works.

In addition, Monash Council has agreed to a trial ‘Kiss & Go’ zone on Bletchley Road, which will commence in Term 4.

Morning Drop Off – 8.00am – 9.30am

  • Parents are responsible for supervising their children until they have entered the School. Children are to be dropped off in the established “Kiss & Go” zone along Bletchley Road.
  • The “Kiss & Go” zone is clearly sign posted with yellow paint on road pavement.
  • Children must use the footpath side door, preferably rear, of the vehicle to exit.
  • Wait until your child is safely inside the School gates before driving off.
  • Maximum stop is five minutes.

Afternoon Pick Up – 3.00pm – 4.00pm

  • Children are supervised by one staff member on Bletchley Road.
  • The “Kiss & Go” zone is clearly sign posted with yellow paint on road pavement.
  • Drivers wait in line on the School side of the road and move forward as the line progresses.
  • Never leave/park your vehicle.
  • Children must enter the vehicle from the footpath side.
  • If there are no available spaces in the “Kiss & Go” zone for your vehicle, please continue to do a lap around the perimeter of the School until a space becomes available. This will avoid traffic jams and congestion.
