Benilde

HOUSE REPORT

Well another non-stop few months with so many activities and events taking place.  The last week of Term two saw the handsome Benilde boys looking dazzling in their formal attire attend the Senior Ball at The International of Brighton.  A wonderful night was had by all with great music from the DJ and a live band made up of very talented St Bede’s boys.  Special thanks to the College leaders and Andrew Beaumont for all their work in organising this memorable night.

Year 10 headed off to the Grampians in week two of this Term.   A fantastic week of activities kept us busy and included abseiling, rock climbing, hiking and kayaking.  We had a great week and thankyou to the outdoor education staff, Mr Darren Strom and Mr Gavin Brown as well as Mr Rafferty, Mr Danckert and Mr Murphy.

The Year 10’s then headed off on a week of work experience which was also a success with some students finding their placements leading to further part time work and decisions being made to pursue particular career paths.

House Arts has kicked off with public speaking taking place.  Congratulations to Jakem Scira and Kent Bennett who spoke brilliantly and thoroughly entertained the audience.

Congratulations also to the Benilde boys who have been involved in the school production Guys and Dolls.  The time and effort that goes into such a production is incredible.  Well done.

We also celebrated Benilde’s feast day recently.  We had a short prayer service  at assembly followed by a lunch time BBQ which was enjoyed by all our Benilde Boys.

Not long to go for our Year 12s.  From all in Benilde House we wish you all the best for your exams and future endeavours.  We hope you take with you some wonderful memories and long lasting friendships from your time at St Bede’s College.
