Leadership Camp

On Monday 29 August, 50 Year 7 students and 5 staff members set off on a very exciting leadership camp.

Over two days the students participated in a range of sessions, including; public speaking and communication, active listening, values, resilience, me as a leader, unpacking the school values and goal setting and resilience.

The students also participated in a range of activities that focused on building new relationships, teamwork and problem solving.

The camp was a huge success and the Year 7 Coordination Team was extremely proud of the way the students conducted themselves.

Year 7 Captains

Leadership Camp

On Monday 29 August, 50 Year 7 students embarked on a 2 day camp in Mount Evelyn. This camp was focused on our young leaders, who have the potential to achieve leadership roles in the future.

Students were given talks by our Year 7 Coordinators on effective ways to be successful leaders; effective communication, resilience, goal setting, strengths and weaknesses and many more.

We were also given a very inspirational, thought provoking talk by a great man called Tim from iRespect who taught us to lift others up as a good leader and teach others their value when things get tough.

On behalf of all, that attended, the captains would again like to thank all teachers that came down to say hello, our great coordinators for putting this all together, Tim and Justin from iRespect for putting a fun night together for us and the camp staff for making our brief stay so enjoyable. I'm sure all of us are looking forward to putting our newfound leadership skills into place where ever we go!

Year 8 Attendance Ladder

A reminder to all students that every Year 8 Home Group is competing for a pizza lunch at the end of term.

The Home Group with the best attendance will be announced in the final week of this term. The current leading Home Group is 8.69.

How have I been going this term?

S and N

All students should take some time to consider how they are going with their learning in all subjects, particularly with the new arrangements regarding an overall S and N grade.

The questions you should ask yourself relate back to the criteria that will assist you to be deemed 'satisfactory' in your subjects:

  • Am I punctual to class?
  • Do I take all of my equipment?
  • Do I have a 'can do' attitude to my work?
  • Do I persist with my work?
  • Do I complete the work set for me?
  • Do I complete all assessments?
  • Do I complete my homework?
