Sporting Schools

Golf Lessons

Largs Bay School  successfully applied for and received a semester 2 “Sporting Schools Program Delivery Grant”, in golf.

Lessons began 2 weeks ago and the students have improved significantly. The 20 students have been taught how to use a full swing and how to chip the ball. Thanks to Brian Galvin from West Lakes Golf Club for coaching. Lessons will continue for 2 more weeks and will be followed up with some course time.

Premier's Reading Challenge Update:

Don't forget the Premier's Reading Challenge finishes on Friday 9th of September (end of week 8).  Please give your completed forms to your teachers asap.

AFL Footy Tipping

Congratulations to Holly in room 26 for winning the Year 6/7 footy tipping competition. Holly hit the lead around the half way point of the season and continued her good form to the end. Holly scored 143 points, a score good enough to have put her in 4th place in the staff competition.  Ella finished second and Mr Burge 3rd.

Sports Day

Thursday 22nd September

Students and teachers are preparing for our annual sports day. Mr Burge has started trials for the afternoon championship sprints.
