Fit2Drive

On the 15th of July, the team from Fit2Drive came to Mount Erin to discuss with us the dangers of driving as well as a variety of tips and strategies to keep us safe on the road. On the day we got split up into our Home Groups to do multiple exercises with one or two members from Fit2Drive, brainstorm ideas about safety and talk about our own personal experiences on the road. 

Members from Somerville Police and Fire Rescue came in to talk to us about the road laws, safety procedures, peer pressure, drink driving as well as sharing a true story about a car accident to demonstrate how dangerous driving can be when not taking the right precautions. 

This experience gave everyone a new perspective on road safety and driving and I’m sure everyone benefited in some way from Fit2Drive.
