Update from the Principal

Welcome back for Term 3! It's going to be another jam-packed Term, and we are looking forward to all the student's involvement.

As of this term, Mrs Rebecca Clarke will be increasing her time to 4 days per week as Deputy Principal. Mrs Clarke has slowly been increasing her days of support in administration and has a particular strength in working with our students and their needs. Mrs Clarke will undertake this role for the duration of Semester Two.

Mrs Kerryn Seaby will be joining us on Tuesdays to run Brilliant Brains (fortnightly from 9-11am) and to cover Mrs Clarke's classes on this day also. We also welcome Mrs Debbie Landells as our Year 3/4 Classroom teacher. Mrs Landells comes to us from Bunbury and has adjusted well in her transition. Please say hello if you see her around town!

We have also just finalised the interview process for a new fixed-term Education Assistant. This position will be confirmed in the next week to start primarily in the Primary classes.

Today is also P&C Day WA. This year is also particularly special as it also coincides with the Centenary of WACSSO. While teachers are the most powerful influences on learning at school, parents and caregivers come first in terms of impact. As a child’s first teacher, they set the pre-conditions for quality teaching to have the desired effect. Parents and caregivers are at the heart of our school, as we recognise our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) Day. The role of our P&Cs is vital.  We are so grateful for everything they do to support our work – whether that be fundraising, supporting learning, or implementing significant school projects.
