Year 7 investigate crystals and year 9 explore the brain

Year 7 Science are learning about how to separate substances. One such method is "Crystallisation". We've set up an experiment to grow copper sulphate crystals. The preliminary results are that the crystals are still growing. 

 

 

 

Year 9 Science are learning about the nervous system and the brain. As part of this class work Year 9 dissected a sheep brain. In this practical, they Identified the cerebrum, cerebellum and spinal cord as well as the different lobes of the cerebrum.
