A message from the Principal
Welcome to Term 3
Thank you to all the parents, carers and community members for assisting us by willingly wearing masks and signing in via the Q R Code when visiting the school.
Recently there has been an increase in the number of students not wearing school uniform. This is challenging when we cannot identify if they are students or intruders on the school grounds. It becomes a serious safety issue. Can you please ensure your child is in uniform when they leave for school. Please see the flyer in the school news section for information on where and how to purchase school uniforms. If you have problems in purchasing a uniform, please contact the school and speak with your child’s year advisor.
Year 12 trials were completed last week, within COVID safe guidelines. The weeks remaining for this cohort at school are quickly dwindling and it is important that they continue to attend as the courses still have content to cover.
This also means that we are in the process of selecting our student leaders for 2022. Year 11 nominees will present their speeches during week 6. Reading all of the applications was amazing and it gave me great pleasure to reflect on some of the awesome students we have at Kempsey High School. I wish them all the best of luck in the election process.
Attendance is an important part of students achieving success and building connections in their learning. It’s amazing how quickly absenteeism adds up. So please talk to your child about making every day count.
Have a great term 3 and let’s keep working together for the success of the students at Kempsey High School.
