CIAO! (Hello!)

Aitken Hill Primary School students have been continuing to build their vocabulary, and extending their ability to converse in Italian.

This term, the Grade threes to sixes have started learning about the seaons in Italian, the months, and the days. Together with their knowledge of the numbers, they are now starting to practise how to say their birthday in Italian!

The Preps to twos have continued practising how to say: the colours in Italian, their favourite colour, and sing the rainbow song!

Ā

This semester, we have practised:

Numbers 0 - 100, greetings, months of the year, days of the week and colours.

Conversational questions, such as:

Come stai? = How are you?

Come ti chiami? = What is your name?

Quanti anni hai? = How old are you?

Quanti fratelli hai? = How many siblings do you have?

Qual Ć© il tuo colore preferito? = What is your favourite colour?

Next term, we look forward to extending our conversations to be able to ask each other about our birthdays.

Ā

Students made a fantastic effort working online, and filmed themselves singing the Rainbow Song, or having a conversation in Italian. They also created a wheel of the year in Italian, detailing the months and the seasons, and wrote about their favourite colour.
