Gr 3/4TR RELIGION

As part of our Inquiry unit – Being Creative and our Education in Faith unit of social justice learning this term, the students in year 3/4 TR and BOC made some bright Christmas posters, cards, and cheerful messages for the residents at Rositano House on Church Street Richmond.

Rositano House is an aged care facility where the elderly residents are being looked after by carers and nurses because they need extra help and can’t be at home on their own.

We understand that Christmas can be a sad and very lonely time for some people and the students in year 3/4 wanted to bring some cheer and happiness to them.

We all made some posters and cards that will be given out to the residents. Some of our posters will also be displayed in the dining area and community room at Rositano House for everyone to see.

We all felt happy about doing this special activity and knowing it will cheer people up when perhaps they are feeling a bit sad.

It is also a great way to represent our wonderful school in the community and show the family and friends of the residents as well as the carers and staff that work there to know that the students of Trinity Primary School do want to make a small difference in the lives of others.
