Summer Achievements

Students have had a busy summer holiday break with a number representing their state and achieving some fantastic personal bests and podium finishes. From basketball, clay shooting, golf, athletics and sailing, our boys are doing it all.

SVC Cricket

The 1st XI team have been participating in the state-wide SATIS 2nds roster over the summer holidays.  Fielding a very young outfit, Team sVc has acquitted itself extremely well and currently sits equal top of the table with three games left against Northern schools before finals.  The boys commitment to representing their school over club is to be commended. Thank you to SVC staff members Michael Farrell, David Webster and Eamon Vines for their time and expertise coaching the team.

Term 1 Co-Curricular Activities

Registrations close at 5.00pm for Senior School Term 1 Co-Curricular activities. If your son has not registered yet, please refer to previous EdSmart communications, student messages or click here.

With a record number of over 320 senior school boys already registered, Term 1 is certainly going to be extremely busy.  Thank you in advance to all the SVC staff, parents and Old Virgilians that will coach, manage and supervise a team or activity.  Our boys are extremely lucky to have such a wide choice in the co-curricular space, alongside many dedicated people that assist them along the way.

I very much look forward to seeing our boys represent the College with pride in Term 1.

Sailing Come & Try

In a new initiative, all Year 7 students will have an opportunity in Week 3-4 to come and try sailing from our own Marine Education Centre at Austins Ferry.  Details will be announced shortly.
