Principal message
Dear community of St Monica's,
Welcome to the 2023 school year. I am inspired by the positivity that has been in our school this week. We have spent the past week getting to know our new teachers, students and new staff. I thank every one for their contribution and participation in our two week start up program. The phrase 'every time there is a new person, the community becomes a new community' comes to mind as I hear and see the conversations about why we are here. Our start up for 2023 started with exploring the purpose for what we do, asking why we are doing what we do. By exploring this question we can have a stronger collective understanding and a common goal.
I would like to present to you the staff for 2023. To contact staff please email them directly or call the office and leave a message. Class dojo will be used to share class learning as a window into the classroom. Communication will be through email. Communication through the office will be on PAM through the Simon Everywhere app.

On behalf of the school community I thank and farewell Kirsten Ward who will be leaving us next Friday to begin working closer to home at Inglewood and District Health. Kirsten has been finance and admin officer at St Monica's for 8 years and will be greatly missed. Applications are being taken for this position.
I wish to congratulate Nicole Knight and Rachelle Collins who have both announced their pregnancies. Nicole will be starting parental leave at the end of term 1 and Rachelle at the end of term 2.
