GARDEN CLASSES THIS TERM

Thank you to all of those people who volunteered for garden classes this term. The children and I are so grateful for your contribution to our hands-on learning.

Thank you also to our year three and four expert gardeners who kept the garden going strong whilst I was away for the first four weeks of term.

The weather has certainly kept us on our toes with lots more rain than expected. Our garden has proved to be extremely resilient and has produced bountiful harvests of broad beans, cherries and potatoes!

We have also planted loads of summer crops including; sweet potatoes, capsicums, corn, tomatoes, pumpkins, zucchinis and eggplants and hope to have a bountiful harvest when we return next year.

Finally, I have put together a volunteer roster for watering our Kitchen Garden over the summer holiday.

If you are able to help out, please sign up at volunteersignup.org/WP8CB

so that we can ensure our garden survives the summer heat.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

See you all in the garden next year!
