Year F/1 

Welcome to Foundation and Year 1 in 2023. 

It has been such an exciting start to the year and we have had so much fun this week. We have all settled in nicely to the school year and it has been so great watching how welcoming all the students have been. It was so great seeing all their smiling faces walking in Monday morning and they all had such a positive attitude. Miss Gray was impressed with how positive all the students were on the first day. 

This week we have been focusing on getting into the school routine and becoming familiar with school. Foundation students had a well earnt rest day on Wednesday and we are sure they will all be very tired this weekend. Earlier in the week we read the story 'Pigeon HAS to go to school!' and we spoke about what the Pigeon might do at school. We created some of our own Pigeon's and students were coming up with different ideas about what their Pigeon was doing. 

We have been focusing on counting and making a range of different numbers. It has been amazing seeing how engaged the students have been with all of the learning areas this week. 

It has been a big week and I am sure there will be some very tired students this weekend! Miss Gray looks forward to another great week next week!
