DRAMA
On Monday 15 May, Kaitlyn Brush and Lucas Rodriguez from our Year 12 Drama class competed in the Regional Division of the Shakespeare Carnival at Penrith Selective High School.
In front of an audience that included professional industry adjudicators, they performed a duologue from Othello. They presented the scene where the devious Iago plants fear and suspicion in Othello’s mind. The students performed with clarity, confidence and presence and were chosen as winners of the duologue category.
They will now represent the school at the State Finals, performing at The York Theatre, in the Seymour Centre on June 11th. As a part of their inclusion in the State Finals, they will be given access to coaching from experts in the field of Shakespearean performance from the Sport For Jove Theatre Company.
We are thrilled at their success and the initiative they have taken to thoroughly prepare a mesmerising performance.
