Anzac Day

Every year we pause to remember the sacrifice of the ANZACs. Brave men and women who served, so we might live in freedom. Each year, the Library marks this day with a special display. This year, our display used paper poppies and we enjoyed selecting a variety of books from our Library for the students to borrow and read. We also had some interesting local historical photos and items on exhibition to complement the display. LEST WE FORGET.

Bookopoly

This term we'll be playing our version of monopoly in the Library. This should be a lot of fun. The rules of Bookopoly are simple: -   No money, just points.

Students can play two ways, the original way (rolling the dice and following the board) OR the custom way (picking places off the board and collecting points that way)

When students borrow books, Library staff will ask if they are playing the game and direct them to the QR code on the glass. This links them to the rules, as well as a google form, which, if they want to submit their books for points they MUST fill in.

Students can include items they've already borrowed in the last 2 weeks. They will just need to fill out the form for each book. All non-fiction books are worth 150 points and fiction points depend on which book is borrowed.

At the end of the term, the person with the most points wins! This can be staff or students.

Good luck and get reading !

Furniture Upgrade

The Library was pleased to recently receive two long green ottomans, two grey chairs and two soft stools as part of a furniture upgrade across the College. Our students enjoy the privilege of having comfortable, smart and modern learning spaces, especially in the Library. As always, we know that students will respect these new items and use them appropriately during class times and study periods.
