Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Dear Families and Friends,

Welcome back to Term Two!

We've had a fantastic start to the term and are all very excited about the term ahead.

Our ANZAC Day Service was led by our amazing school leaders and students from each class respectfully participated in showing respect.

We celebrated Easter at a whole school Mass after which many members of our parish praised the beautiful signing from our students.

We’ve completed swimming and are now excited for our Mother’s Day celebration which is an Afternoon Tea today at 2pm. All mothers, grandmothers and special friends are invited to celebrate with us.

On Thursday 25th May we are excited to have Bishop Tony Ireland coming to bless and officially open our refurbished administration building. Other special guests include Mayor CR Eden Foster, the head of Melbourne Archdiocese Schools Southern Region, Parish members, local principals, some past staff, members of our parish and of course all parents and carers are invited to attend as well. For catering purposes please email the office or myself to let us know if you can attend. You’ll find the invitation on our special invitation page.

Winter Uniform

During Term Two and Three students must wear their winter uniforms. New stock is slowly arriving after a small delay. If you need to purchase any uniform items please collect a form from the office. Mrs Debbie is available to assist and take uniform orders on a Monday and Friday morning before school between 8.30am and 8.50am.

Drop Off and Pick Up

A reminder that school gates open at 8.30am with classrooms opening at 8.40am. We ask that children are not at school prior to 8.30am or that they remain with an adult or carer until 8.30am as there is no supervision available. All classrooms open at 8.40am and our first learning session starts at 8.50am.

Families who require earlier supervision will need to take their children to before school care which is available from 6.30am. To book before or after school care visit: https://ylv.com.au/online-vacation-care-booking-form/

We ask that all students enter the school via the gates rather than through the office.

After school pick up is between 3.20pm and 3.35pm. School gates close at 3.35pm as staff are required to attend staff meetings or to spend time preparing for the following day. Any students who are not collected by 3.35pm are taken to the school office and then to after school care at 3.40pm.

I hope everyone had a very happy Mother's Day yesterday. Our mother's, grandmother's, carers and special friends assist in making us who we are! A big thank you to all who take on caring roles within our community!
