Art Club & ArtX
Over the holidays, you may have spied some thoughtful and intricate art on our social media pages. Last term, the Art Club worked together with Ms Longley to design and create three centre pieces, or a triptych, for the Easter Liturgy. These pieces drew inspiration from Chinese-Australian multimedia artist Louise Zhang and biblical artist Mike Torvell, using a mosaic-like technique to piece together the works and create imagery. Keep your eyes peeled for this artwork to become a feature somewhere in the school!
This term, the Art Club will be working on portraits in celebration of the Archibald Prize. Come along at First Break on Tuesdays in S104 to learn some techniques around creating a portrait and express yourself in your own unique way.
For those looking for even more of an art fix, Ms Willoughby runs ArtX on a Tuesday afternoon in S106 between 3:15pm and 4:15pm. Please complete this permission form if you wish to attend.
Both Art Club & ArtX will start in Week 3 of this term due to ANZAC Day.
