Better Buddies Program

Next week we will begin our Better Buddies Program. We are very excited to take our Year  5 students over to Kingsville Early Learning Centre.

The aim of the program is to build the leadership skills required to be a ‘Better Buddy'

as well as build meaningful relationships with our local kindergarten.

The purpose of a buddy program is to support a smooth transition for children starting school. These programs promote social and support networks for children beginning Prep and promote a sense of community and belonging in the school. 

It is beneficial for both the younger and older students. The Kindergarten students learn to know that they have an older student to turn to, as well as building the skills of having responsibility in the older students.

We look forward to building this relationship with one of our local kindergartens and we thank their Kinder Teacher Natalie and the rest of their team for welcoming us into their beautiful Kindergarten room.
