The St. Fidelis Mother’s Day Stall is set for Wednesday 10th May. At this stall, students will have the opportunity to purchase the special women in their life a gift. The gifts range in price, from $1 to $7. We ask that you provide your child/ren with a bag to carry their gifts home in AND obviously money for their purchases. This is such a special fundraiser that committee members, parent helpers and staff enjoy as we get to watch the thoughtful and smiling faces of the children as they select their perfect gifts. Thank you in advance for your support with this fundraiser.
The Mother’s Day celebrations for Friday 12th May is nearly here! Orders for ‘Village Bakery’ breakfast boxes on QuickCliq are NOW CLOSED! Please note that we were unable to secure a COFFEE VAN for this event. Free tea/coffee stand will be provided. We encourage you to BYO keepcup with a lid – however there will be some cups provided.
Furthermore, unlike previous years, the event this year will NOT be a seated event. There will be some seating, but we encourage mothers and children to walk around and mingle 😊 Please meet in the Hawthorn St yard. THANK YOU. Any concerns or questions, please contact the P&F.
“The society of St Vincent de Paul is an international voluntary organisation in the Catholic Church, founded in 1833 for the sanctification of its members by personal service of the poor… the Vinnie’s winter appeal aims to provide emergency relief to people at risk and experiencing homelessness,” (wikipedia.org).
As Catholic people we aim to follow in the footsteps of such saints as ‘St. Vincent De Paul’ who was canonised by the catholic church for preaching missions to the peasantry and for running charitable events to assist the poor. This year, over a 4-week period, we ask for your assistance in the collection of various items that will be donated to assist the homeless and those less fortunate than we are. Each grade level from foundation to grade 6 will be asked to donate from a list of required items, which the P&F team (led by Josie Perri) will sort and organise for delivery to the St. Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal. You will receive a flyer with all the necessary information shortly, and we thank you in advance for your generosity with this not-for-profit appeal.
On Friday 9th June the P&F has organised the last lunch order day for Term 2. The VILLAGE BAKERY is providing us with delicious sausage rolls (for $5), vegetable pasties (for $5) and cinnamon donuts (for $3). You will be informed once orders open on QuickCliq so that you can pre-order your child’s lunch. Keep your eyes and ears open for more information to follow. Thank you.
Adriana B and Gabby S are leading the P&F uniform stall, set for Friday 16th June. As usual the stall will run from 3pm and we invite you to come and purchase good quality preloved school uniforms at affordable prices. Don’t forget to bring a carry bag and money. Thank you to all the families who continue to donate their children’s uniforms. Please everyone, keep the donations coming. We simply ask that the uniforms you provide us with are good quality, have the school emblem, and are free from stains, tears, rips, etc. Also, no SOCKS or JOCKS. Many thanks for your support.
As you know, we had a very successful Term 1 at St. Fidelis. It was filled with various fundraising activities and events that brought the community together and also injected a substantial amount of funds into the school’s kitty. These funds will go directly to our children to support their learning, and to build and improve on their available resources and/or learning spaces.
THANK YOU to everyone for all of your efforts in Term 1. We know that at times we ask a lot of our parents, and we are very grateful (always) for any amount of time, effort and money you put into supporting our school community. Please see below for our Term 1 profit summary.
THANK-YOU for taking the time to stay updated with the P & F NEWS!
