Principal's News

Dear Parents & Caregivers of St Joseph’s Wee Waa,

Welcome back to Term 3. What a journey we have had so far! The holidays now feel like a distant memory. However, the holidays at St Joseph’s school were very busy. No doubt you would have all seen the new additions to our school. We had 18 new split systems installed in the school. This will provide cooling in summer and heating in winter. With our current weather pattern, it doesn't seem like long until we need them on to cool off in the classrooms!

We also had a new path installed to provide access to our mobility ramps and enhanced access to the classrooms. It also gives us easy access to our planter boxes that we are filling for our spring/summer growth.

Finally, we had a range of electrical priorities fixed, our switchboard and line in from the power pole upgraded. and new lights added to enhance the security of our school.

We couldn’t have completed these works if it wasn't for the major contribution from the school’s P&F association. They provided $40,000 towards these new works.

I would like to thank the following suppliers for their hard work in getting this project planned and delivered on time:

Matt McCulloch Air Conditioning

Ben Russell - Electrical

AJH Services - Concreting

Peaceful Kids

Elise Baird and Alistair Stewart are attending the Peaceful Kids seminar in Victoria this week. This is a fantastic initiative that will assist us in working with children who have increasingly difficult mental health problems or anxiety. We are excited to bring this initiative back to St Josephs Wee Waa.
