volunteer thank you morning tea

Our school is a pretty spectacular space, with awesome grounds and amazing teachers, but we couldn't (nor would we want to) do any of it without the love and support from our volunteers! Our volunteers come from far and wide and complete an incredible range of duties across our school. Whether you have been involved in classes or excursions, school council or its sub-committees, helping at social or sporting events, Sprout or the library, end of term BBQs or Winter Magic Market (or all of the above!) we would like to invite you to our Volunteer Thank You Morning Tea on Friday 20th December at 11.00 am.

This is just a small demonstration of the massive amount of gratitude we have towards all parents, carers and special friends of our school. We hope you are able to attend the morning, enjoy a tasty treat and cup of tea and spend some time with the teachers and staff who appreciate you every day.

Dr Cranky's bike hospital (2020)

As we continually strive to be a more inclusive and sustainable school, we are super excited to share with you that BNW is trialling a bike hospital in 2020. This is a fantastic initiative run by Dr. Cranky, however it requires the engagement of parent and carer volunteers to continue. We have a couple of parents available for the trial, but if this sounds like something that might interest you, please contact Paul, Bart or the school office.

We pride ourselves for our sense of belonging as it is beneficial for everyone. Family involvement in school strengthens our young people's connection to their education, it demonstrates the community connection many families choose our school for and helps us provide the best educational program and environment possible. In an attempt to better communicate with those interested in volunteering, the school is trying to build a volunteer register. We would love all family members to complete this short survey to help us collect this information. All information will be kept private and no one will be asked to commit to any volunteer work in the survey.

There are so many different ways to become involved in your child's education and we love it when you want to get involved, but we must remind all family members that Working with Children Check cards are required by law.
