In the Art / Craft

NOVEMBER ART/CRAFT

What's happening in art and craft this term?

This term we have animation artist and lecturer Trewlea working with all art students to teach them how to use the stop motion app to animate their plasticine circus figures. Grade 3-6 students will also learn how to edit and add sound to their animations. All students are very excited and are already playing around with the IPad exploring the potential of the stop motion app.

I can’t wait to see their circus figures come to life!

The craft students are happily knitting to finish their individual projects. We have 3 completed gnomes from class 3/4.

Class 1 and class 2 were both introduced to knitting this term and are progressing well. Our older children have been coming to craft to assist with some of the projects which is a fantastic opportunity to role model deadly behaviour to our younger students.

Class 5/6 will begin their weaving unit, selecting circular weaving or weaving on a wooden loom.
