FAQ'S (FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS)

Uniform

I hope that you have had the chance to purchase your child's CURIOSITY uniform.  Please ensure that your child has their uniform ready to go before commencement.  The Uniform shop is now closed until Monday the 21st of January from 8am - 3pm.  Please be aware that this is the 'Book Collection' day for the school so the shop may be busy.

Just a few reminders:

Shoes - to meet our standards of care for your child, it is important that your child wears enclosed toe shoes.  Sneakers are the preferred foot wear and do not need to be any particular colour.  Velcro sneakers are preferred over shoe laces for ease of getting them on and off independently.  If your child is unable to wear sneakers, then we would ask that you purchase a sandal that encloses your child's toes so that they can not be seen and are protected especially during outdoor play. Flat soled dress shoes or boots are not encouraged as they do not offer support for developing feet.

Shorts, Skorts and Pants - if you are choosing to not purchase the school items, please ensure that you are buying navy blue coloured items to match the uniform expectations.

Lunch Boxes

Over the Christmas break, I encourage you to begin engaging your child in conversations around what they would like to pack in the lunch boxes for morning snack (fruit, veg, cheese or crackers etc) and lunch (sandwich, dips, rice, noodles etc).  Having your own lunchbox can be a very exciting new experience but sometimes they can come with some interesting challenges.  It is important that your child is able to open and close the containers that are within their lunchboxes.  Why not have some lunch box experiences over the holidays and try navigating this new opportunity?  Our educators will be eating with the children so please know that we will offer as much support as necessary with opening and closing of containers.

Fully Booked

Thank you to those families who have been able to create their child's account on Fully Booked.  We do ask that if you have not done this that you attend to it before Monday the 9th of December as our Admin team are ready to enter in your child's booked days.  

Please ensure that you click on the 'CURIOSITY Early Learning Centre' service button to enter in your details.  You will need to add in your Account and Contact details before it allows you to enter in any payment methods.  Your payment details must be entered in to allow us to then add in your bookings.

Keeping in Touch

With the Christmas season coming upon us we appreciate that there is lots to consider with your child commencing with us in 2020.  No question or query is to small or insignificant, so please make contact with us if we can assist you in anyway.  A final update will be published in early January to confirm our opening date.  Stay tuned.
