Middle School Report
Welcome to our newsletter for Term 4.
The Middle School team hope that everyone had an enjoyable break and are refreshed ready for Term 4.
The second group of Year 10 students have now participated in the Work Experience program, which ran from Monday the 21st until Friday 25th of October. The work experience program is a wonderful opportunity for students to obtain an understanding of employment in a field they have chosen, along with building employability skills.
From the 13th to the 15th of November, year 10 students will sit their end of year exams. These exams provide valuable experience for the students to transition into Senior School.
A letter out lining which subjects are compulsory for students has been sent home to parents.
After the exams, Year 10 will head into two weeks of the head start program attending their 2020-year 11 classes.
Students and staff are looking forward to the Middle School Camp to Queensland, which departs on the 2nd of December. We wish them a safe and enjoyable time at the theme parks and other attractions.
Students are reminded of the importance of school attendance! All students should strive for 100% attendance, as this will give them the best opportunity to achieve successful outcomes in their learning. Please ensure that all absences are recorded on Compass or a phone call/note is given to the Middle School Office.
With the warmer weather upon us, I urge all parents to support the school by encouraging your child to be in the correct uniform as per the Lowanna College uniform policy.
Darren Mitchell.
