Grade Four

Welcome back to Term 2!
It was lovely to have Term 1 back in the classroom with minimal disruptions and routines getting back to some level of normality! The students have really settled into their routines and have worked hard. Towards the end of the term we wrapped up our Integrated unit on ‘Identity’ where the students made a project that represented their identity. Students set their classrooms up as Me-Seums and we were able to enjoy each other's creations!
After enjoying a well earned break, we jumped straight back into Term 2. In Maths, students have been exploring the properties of 2D shapes. We have been looking at regular and irregular shapes, angles, lines of symmetry and creating our own shapes and pictures.
During our English lessons, students have been busy investigating newspaper articles. Given that newspapers aren’t as popular for information as they once were, this was a whole new concept for some. Students have quickly got the idea of it though and are quickly turning into budding journalists with plenty of events to report on!
