Invitation to New Parents
2014 Year in Tweets
The 2014 Year in Tweets is a 222 page, full colour publication (soft cover, like the Yearbook). It includes every tweet and photo posted by the @MaterDeiWagga twitter account during 2014. In chronological order, the Year in Tweets is a comprehensive record of what happened during the year at Mater Dei Catholic College. For the first time, we are offering families to purchase their own copy of The Year in Tweets 2014. We are selling each copy at $30, which is less than cost price.
We will only go ahead with an order if there is significant interest. Families wishing to order a copy of the publication will need to secure theirs by paying (cash only) for their copy. Should interest be minimal and the order not go ahead, all those who have placed an order will have their payment returned.
If you wish to order a copy, please place $30 in an envelope. Mark the envelope clearly with ‘The Year in Tweets 2014’ and hand in to the front office. All orders should be received by no later than Friday 20 February (end of Week 4).
Canteen News
Many thanks to all those parents who have offered to assist in the Canteen this year.
If you wish to volunteer please contact the Canteen Manager, Mrs Di Curtis as soon as possible.
MUSIC NEWS
Interested in Learning a Musical Instrument?
Please see the Music Department or the Front Office for an enrolment form.
Tuition is available in:
Woodwind: Flute, Clarinet, Alto & Tenor Saxophone
Brass: Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone & Euphonium
Percussion: Drum Kit, Xylophone & Timpani
Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass
Voice: Singing
Guitar and Keyboard/Piano lessons are full and we will not be taking any enrolments for these instruments.
Ensemble rehearsals will begin in Week 3. Times are as follows:
Concert Band Tuesdays 7:45am to 8:45am
Stage Band Tuesdays 3:30pm to 5:30pm
String Ensemble Wednesdays 7:45am to 8:45am
