Brookhill

Mr David Murphy

Welcome back to a new term. Term two is a very important term for the academic program for all Brookhill students. I would like to start the term by encouraging Year 12 students to renew their commitment to achieving their personal best academic results.

There are several important procedural and housekeeping matters I would like families to take notice of:

  • All students must attend morning Homeroom. This is an important time for recording attendance and distributing information. Students not attending Homeroom will be issued with after school detentions.
  • Brookhill students now must get changed into and out of PE uniform for PE, VET Sport and Recreation and Agriculture classes. No student should be in sport uniform outside one of these classes.
  • Boys must be clean shaven. Boys presenting with facial hair will be asked to shave at school, or parents will be contacted to take them home.
  • Girls’ skirts must be at or below knee length.
  • Students must not be consuming take-away food obtained from fast food outlets while at school. Please do not allow your child to arrange to have take-away food brought to them at school.

Students Driving to School

Students who turn 18 and obtain their driver’s licence may drive to school and park in the Western Staff Carpark provided they have filled in the driving to school application form and obtained a swipe card. Students must not drive to school before they have completed the required paperwork, including obtaining parental signatures, and had their application approved.

Brookhill Athletics

On Tuesday 3 May, Brookhill students took part in the annual House athletics carnival. All students deserve praise for their conduct and participation. The Year 12 group enjoyed their last athletics carnival and set an excellent example to younger students, while House Captains provided excellent leadership.

Cameron came out on top on the day. The final results were:

  • Cameron: 2073 points
  • Brodie: 1761
  • Clarke: 1708
  • Millar: 1335
