Prep Enrolments 2024
A friendly reminder for our HPS community to chat to friends and family in our designated neighbourhood zone regarding their intentions for prep enrolments next year.
Enrolment applications from parents/carers are to be submitted by Friday, 28 July 2023.
Please refer to the following website for enrolment boundaries for government schools.
20 Year and 10 Year Celebration
This year Hillsmeade PS turns 20 and our ELC turns 10! How the years have flown by and what a journey the school has been on during those years.
To celebrate the special occasion the HPS School Council are currently organising a whole school opportunity to acknowledge the story so far. Our School Council President Lisa Holmes will be communicating with families soon as to how everyone may be able to get involved.
NEW SCHOOL VALUES
During this term there has been ongoing consultation occurring with students, staff, school council and the broader community to discuss and update the HPS school values. This year our school commenced work with the Department of Education to implement the Schoolwide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) approach and the initial phase is to revitalise our values. We thank you all for your valuable input and can let you know that the 3 values we will be moving forward with are:
RESPECT
KINDNESS
RESILIENCE
Throughout the remainder of this year we will commence the rollout and communication of these changes, ready for implementation in 2024. The SPWBS approach will continue as a priority for our school over the coming 2-3 years.
END OF TERM DISMISSAL
Just a reminder that school finishes on Friday 23rd June for Term 2. Students will be dismissed at 2.30pm. OSHC will be available for families from 2.30pm.
