Annual General Meeting
Thank you to all who attended the Annual General Meeting this week. The AGM was a time to reflect on the many achievements of 2022. It was also an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of outgoing Board Directors, and to welcome the new Board Directors. Nina O’Brien has retired from the Board after 3 years as serving the School as a Director. During this time Nina undertook the role of Deputy Chair, and Chair of the Strategic Planning and Governance Committee. Deputy Board Chair, Jane Millar made a presentation to Nina to acknowledge her very significant contribution. The valued contributions of Isobella Lucic and Rob Amos were also acknowledged. Isobella and Rob filled casual vacancies on the Board over recent months. Dr Sydney Paul, our Board Chair, has been appointed for a further three year term, and two new Board Directors have been appointed – Ben Styles and Susan Owen. Jane Millar is continuing as Deputy Chair, and Fleur Cousins has been appointed as Treasurer. We thank all Board Directors for their contribution to our School.
National Volunteer Week
We greatly appreciate all who contribute to Moama Anglican Grammar in a volunteer capacity – our Board Directors, Uniform Shop volunteers, parent volunteers, Parents and Friends and all others who all give freely of their time and talents to support our current, and our future students and families. Thank you for making a difference!
Mothers Day Sponsors
Our 2023 Mothers Day celebration was a fantastic morning. Thank you to all who volunteered, donated prizes or supplies, and to all who purchased a raffle ticket. Over $700 was raised from the raffle, covering the cost of the morning, with funds remaining which will be put to good use within the school. We are very thankful for the generous support of our MAG community. Thanks also to the Parents and Friends for planning the beautiful Mother's Day Stall. I am sure there were many happy mums and caregivers on Sunday morning.
