Principal's Message

A Path of Learning

The commencement of our Year 11 and 12 Exams this week is the beginning of an essential time to demonstrate learning so far and conclude Semester One. For those Year 11 and 12 students who may not have exams as a part of their pathway, it’s just as important a time to consolidate tasks, attend to work placements and off-campus programs, and prepare for Semester Two. Our Staff Prayer Intention for this week was dedicated to all our students across Years 4-12 who will have projects, tests, exams, and assessments in the coming weeks, and we pray that each student seizes the opportunity to fulfil their potential.

Much learning takes place in classrooms across our entire College each day. Much learning takes place at weekly training sessions, in Music rooms, on our sporting fields, in our school yard, on four-square courts, and in our Chapel. Regardless of what year your son is in, it’s timely for us to remember that learning is a life-long journey because of the possibilities it has the power create. Learning involves the acquisition of knowledge, in addition to coming to a confidence in knowing oneself and one’s place in the world.

In a week where I’ve had the opportunity to meet with several students and their parents, some vital life-lessons about character and unconditional love have been highlighted.  Learning for young people isn’t always comfortable, and it certainly isn’t always easy. But the process of learning is important, and sometimes the challenge it comes with makes the learning far more valuable. Your sons continually teach us as much about life and living, as we commit to offering them across the College. We are privileged partners with parents in the full, rich, holistic education of your boys in forming them as Men for Others.

Wherever the journey of this week takes you, know that our God

goes with you and Christ is your ever-faithful companion.

Live Jesus in our Hearts.
