REBOOT: This week at Reboot we had to the story of Bryce whose dog was sick and the family didn't have the money for the veterinary fees so Bryce set up a roadside stall to sell his prized Pokemon cards. He raised $400 of his $800 goal. To support Bryce, mum made a Go Fund Me page which raised $26,000. Now mum calls Veterinary Clinics and pays for other people's vet bills if they are struggling. The theme for today was 'You're never too young to achieve / make a difference".
On either side of the wellbeing message, we had challenges such as donut on a string, tin can bowls, human quoits, and a team challenge making a paper chain- because we are better when we work together for a common goal.
ART AND GAMES @LUNCH: Lots of creativity and a variety of games as you can see in the pics.
Seasons For Growth: I was very fortunate to train for the Seasons For Growth program in May. It is hoped that we will run a group very soon at school. This program offers a safe space for children to come together and share their experiences of change and loss using a wide range of age-appropriate games, activities, role playing and journaling.
