School Service Initiatives

This term HTS is focusing on different service opportunities within the school and service outside of the school. 

"I may not be capable of doing big things, but I want to do even the smallest of things for others, 

for the greater glory of God."

Our Infants classes are focusing on recycling bottles and cans from canteen orders as well as keeping areas of the school neat and tidy by picking up rubbish.

Primary are having a cake stall in coming weeks to raise money for the SVDP Winter Appeal as well as our older students supporting younger classes with activities such as reading and games on the playground.

Secondary classes are looking more closely at being of service to others outside of the school. Visits to McLean for Mass and entertaining the residents through music and art, supporting catechists in the public schools, cleaning the Church and supporting community groups with winter needs.

Please support our Winter Warmers initiative to help those in our community who will be feeling the cold this winter.

Save the Date

- First Reconciliation and Holy Communion

The Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be celebrated for our Year 3 Catholic students on Wednesday 16 August at 10am.

The Sacrament of First Holy Communion will be celebrated on Sunday 20 August at the 9am Mass. 

There will be two information meetings for families whose children will be preparing for these sacraments on Wednesday 21 June at Sacred Heart Church at 1:10pm and 5:30pm. Families only need to attend one meeting time and children are not required to come. A note will be sent home to families about this. 

Cake Stall - 22 June 2023

Stage 2 students will be holding a Cake Stall on Thursday 22 June to raise money for our local SVDP Winter Appeal. Baked goods will cost between 50c and $3. Please bring some change to help support those in our community who are less fortunate.

- First Reconciliation 10:00am at SHC

Sunday 20 August 

- First Communion 9:00am at SHC
