'Music to our Ears'

Some of our Year 5 and 6 students have taken up a fantastic opportunity to learn a musical instrument through the MacKillop College "Banding Together" program. Benefits include learning to play their instruments as part of a concert band, reading music, expanding their listening skills and meeting other students who they will likely attend high school with in future. 

In music class at JPII, Ava, Adnan, Layla and Mia gave us demonstrations of the trumpet, trombone and clarinet, which led to interesting discussions and much admiration from all of us! 

Keep up the great work Adnan (trombone), Kiara (clarinet), Mia (clarinet), Ava (trumpet) and Layla (clarinet). Storm, Kyle, Brock, Tayah and Charli are also joining and had their first rehearsal in Week 2. We look forward to hearing your progress throughout the year!
