Principal's Message

with Mr Brendan Gill

Dear Families

The school term has started off exceptionally well. The students have returned to the classroom with enthusiasm, ready to engage with their studies and eager to learn. The staff have been working diligently to ensure that our students receive the best possible education.

We started the term with a CET Spirituality Day, which was thought provoking and a good opportunity to build community. There is a palpable sense of excitement and energy throughout the school with our new facilities only weeks away.

The first few weeks have been filled with various activities, including team building exercises, a Cross Country carnival, academic competitions, and a pertinent presentation from Tasmania Police about bullying and physical violence.

Thank you to Mr Hallsworth, Mr Westwood and Mr Zanardi for their work over the Easter break.  We have a brand-new mud kitchen next to the swings that students are really enjoying.  We have also made an excellent start to our new kitchen garden.  Students have really enjoyed helping with the process.

We are confident that the momentum we have built in the first few weeks will carry us through the term, and we are excited to see what the future holds as some big changes occur in our community.  Just a reminder that we have an open survey currently about our new learning conference model (parent/teacher).  Please follow this link if you want to contribute: https://forms.gle/V6Xor1XSHTgtabCC9

I wish all the mothers and special women in the John Paul II community every blessing for Sunday.

Brendan Gill
