State Recognition for our fabulous VCAL Program!!

You may not be aware but during this year there has been an extensive state-wide review into the entire Applied Learning and Vocational learning pathways in senior secondary schooling. The final report, recommendation and also Government responses to this review were released last week. There are some very big modifications into VCE and VCAL being proposed and will be implemented from 2023-2025.

Way more importantly, Ballarat High School’s VCAL program was identified as a best practice school in applied learning with the review panel spending the day at our school observing and speaking to our VCAL students and teachers. Below is an exert from the 2020 VCAL review (page 50) of the case study the review panel produced on our wonderful program. What a proud achievement of being externally recognised by the state and included in a large-scale report. Well done to everyone involved in Ballarat High School’s extensive Applied Learning Program and enjoy the read!
