Out Of School Hours Care

Term 1

Week 3 and 4

My Time Our Place

The year has finally started to settle in and the routine is back to normal! To further cement good relationships between the children and educators, week 3’s theme was ‘Express Yourself’. Centering activities around ways to express emotions healthily, brings up great conversation between educators and children that can strengthen their bond and also enable children to feel comfortable in the OSHC space. Following that was week 4’s theme, which was ‘Careers’. This theme helps motivate the children to study and understand the importance of school as they get an idea of what it can lead to. Due to the hot weather, most of the outside activities were carried out in the gym, much to the children’s delight.

Receptions Starting 2021

For the families joining us for 2021 with starting receptions, we assure you that an educator will be there to walk your child to class in the morning and collect your child from their class to OSHC in the afternoon for the first 6 weeks of term.

Term 1 2021 Bookings

Friendly reminder that OSHC bookings from 2020 do not roll over into 2021 and families are required to complete a new yearly booking form to secure your bookings for 2021. Please contact the director for any forms needed.

December/January Vacation Care Newsletter

The December/November Vacation Care Newsletter is available now from the schools website, the OSHC room and has been sent out via email.

Medications

If your child requires medication please ensure that you have provided an action plan as well as the medication (asthma pump, epipen etc.) to the service. It is vital that we have access to your child’s medication at our service whilst your child is attending.

Hats

As part of our sun safety policy all children are required to wear a hat if they are playing outside. Please remind your child/children to bring their hats from their classroom if they are attending the service.

Absentees

A reminder to all parents and caregivers to contact the service via email at info@lnpsoshc.org.au if their child(ren) are no longer attending their sessions or have been collected early from school.

Dietary Requirements

At our service we aim to cater to children’s needs as much as possible, however, if your child has specific dietary requirements or does not like the food programmed for the day please pack an alternative snack or drop off food alternatives at the service.
