Dickens Room

What a wonderful week we have had with both the Wimbi and Marram classes! 

This week has been all about group times and shared learning moments.

The Marram children engaged with science, making playdoh to celebrate Chinese new year and following on from a wonderful first lesson with Cristina on Tuesday. We have also spent time singing, dancing and playing group games- bringing the children together to create connections and social development. 

Our Wimbi class has really enjoyed our puppets during group moments! There has been so much energy and excitement during these moments and it is wonderful to see how quickly everyone has settled and found a sense of belonging.

Kinder is still operating onsite, we hope to see you all. Remember, if your child has any symptoms or sickness, they will need to stay home until they are better.

Moore Room

We had a fantastic week with some great discussions around Chinese New year which extended into a Chinese restaurant and dumpling making with the play dough. We were very excited to see the new trampoline being assembled and making great use of it once finished. It was great to see everyone waiting for their turn as we wrote their names on a blackboard which also allowed for some sight name recognition.

We have really enjoyed a lot of manipulative construction materials, quiet reading moments and a lot of painting. Outdoors has been equally enjoyable with sensory play in the sand, pebble and mud areas and we found some very awesome bugs!

We are looking forward to what this week brings.
