Face Masks

Students in secondary schools must wear masks indoors.  We ask that students bring a mask from home each day.

Teachers do not need to wear masks while teaching, unless they choose to. Staff will wear face masks at all other times.

We will continue to keep the school community updated as circumstances change.

School Photo Day

We will advise shortly when the 2nd School Photo Day will be held.  Originally, it was scheduled for Monday 15 February.

Parent Payments

The parent payment determined by School Council each year provides the vital funds necessary for Lilydale High School to continue to provide excellent facilities, and sufficient teaching and curriculum resources to ensure a high quality education for all students.

Lilydale High School’s 2021 parent payment arrangements are as follows:

Parent and Guardian Contact Details

Please check that your mobile number and email address are correct on the Compass portal.

The school has an extensive list of parent’s and guardian's mobile numbers and email addresses; however, we would like to make sure our records are fully up-to-date.

Insurance / Ambulance Cover

The Department of Education does not provide personal accident insurance or ambulance cover for students.

Parents and guardians of students, who do not have student accident insurance or ambulance cover, are responsible for paying the cost of medical treatment for injured students, including the cost of ambulance attendance or transport as well as any other transport costs. It is the responsibility of parents or guardians to look into their preferred options in this regard.

Parents or guardians can purchase insurance policies from commercial insurers.  The Department cannot provide advice to parents or guardians on the purchase of individual student accident policy or ambulance cover.

Private property brought to school by students, staff or visitors is not insured and the Department does not accept any responsibility for any loss or damage.  This can include mobile phones, calculators, toys, sporting equipment and cars parked on school premises.

As the Department does not hold insurance for personal property brought to schools and has no capacity to pay for any loss or damage to such property, students and staff are discouraged from bringing any unnecessary or particularly valuable items to school.
