Principal Reflection
Mrs. Lozanovski
As we close the door on another term, I am bursting with pride as I reflect on how far we have come as a school community, in such a short period of time.
I am so very proud of our students who come to school everyday, with their positivity in toe and ready to learn and am proud to lead our incredible team of teachers and education support staff, who go above and beyond for our students.
This term has seen the College acknowledge and celebrate Education and Careers Week, with students being treated to an array of extra curricular activities.
Our students have been lucky enough to represent our College in a number of different sporting events and we are so pleased with the way in which our students showed great sportsmanship and represented our College with pride.
We have also had a strong focus on our College values and have done extensive work with our students on identifying and displaying those key behaviours that reflect our values.
In a world where you can be anything, be kind, be brave, be true and be safe.
I was lucky enough to visit a number of classes this term, sharing in the learning experience with our students. My visits highlighted just how lucky our students are to have their learning in the hands of our passionate and dedicated staff.
A highlight for me was most definitely joining Ms.O'Hora in Food Technology.
Semester Reports will be made available to parents via Compass on Friday 23rd June. If you are having trouble accessing your child's reports, please do not hesitate to contact the College.
This term our 2024 Language consultation was completed and we are proud to share that in 2024, Wollert Secondary College will begin delivering Italian as part of our curriculum program.
As we prepare for the year ahead, the College will begin it's 2024 staff recruitment campaign, and we are very much excited to see our wonderful team grow.
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our newest members of staff, who have joined us this term:
Ms. Joyce Alexander - Classroom Support
Ms. Josephine Randone - Classroom Support
Mr. Keith McDougall - IT Technician
Now that winter is here, we remind students to come to school dressed prepared for the cooler weather.
Please note the College beanie and puffer jacket are available to be purchased through our uniform supplier, PSW. Beanies and jackets that are not from our uniform catalogue are not permitted to be worn.
Students are also reminded of the expectations of our College uniform, which must be worn correctly, in line with our uniform policy and with pride.
This includes correct footwear and ensuring students are only wearing items approved in our uniform policy.
Breaches of the uniform policy will result in uniform infringement notices.
Semester Two commences on Monday 10th July and we acknowledge how busy it will be.
We encourage students to rest and recharge over the holidays.
Find moments to fill your buckets and participate in activities that bring you joy and happiness.
We would like to wish our students and families a safe and happy term break.
We look forward to seeing you all in Term 3.
Kind Regards,
Melissa Lozanovski
College Principal
