Physical Education & Sport 

Physical Education:

 

Students in Physical Education have begun their second units for the term. Preps are playing cooperative games and learning the importance of working together, encouraging others, sharing and taking turns. The Grade 1 & 2 students are inventing their own PE games and exploring what makes a great game. The senior students have moved onto their health units where the Grade 3 & 4’s are investigating how physical activity can affect and improve their physical, social and mental health. Lastly, the grade 5 & 6 students are participating in fitness circuits designed to improve health and skill related fitness components.

 

Interschools Sports:   

 

Over the past couple of weeks students in Grade 5 & 6 have competed against two schools in inter school sports. On the 19th of May Grayling PS competed against Saint Francis PS and won 5 out of the 9 games played. Scores below:

Division Cross Country: 

 

On Wednesday the 31st of May Janice, Roderick, Ineth, Nived and Makai represented our school at Divisional Cross Country. Although these students did not progress to the next round, they gave their best efforts, and we could not be more proud of them!
