KOGO Knit One Give One

Greetings fellow knitters. KOGO has started a square-a-thon that will be running from 10 June to 10 August. Let’s see how many squares we can knit in two months. If knitting squares is not your thing, then please carry-on knitting what you enjoy most. Crochet squares are also welcome.

Square Pattern: Garter Stich Square – 20cm x 20cm

8ply yarn with 4mm needles

Cast on 40 stiches

Knit in garter stitch until square measures 20cm (approximately 80 rows)

Cast off (adjust the number of stitches up or down if you are a tight or loose knitter)

Please sew all ends in.

KOGO is also in desperate need of baby cardigans or jumpers, adult blankets, cot blankets and pram covers. Squares, beanies, scarves and wrist warmers are always welcomed. I encourage you to go onto their website  https://www.kogo.org.au/, for additional information.

Our charity item numbers continue to grow and have already handed in 9 toys, 11 children’s jumpers, 1 pair of mittens, 28 adult beanies, 6 children’s beanies and 7 blankets.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the College.
